The name Magic Park<\/strong> was the result of a family's dream. Some fairgoers who, tired of traveling from fair to fair throughout Catalonia, settled in the 70s in Platja d'Aro<\/strong> and Lloret de Mar<\/strong>. Magic Park<\/strong> was the first amusement park on the Costa Brava<\/strong>.<\/p>

En Mario Xufr\u00e9 i Fabregat<\/strong> va n\u00e9ixer en una fam\u00edlia firaire de Barcelona. Ens explicava que la Guerra Civil i el fet que la seva mare mor\u00eds quan ell era nom\u00e9s un nen, van fer que abandon\u00e9s els estudis i s\u2019impliqu\u00e9s en el negoci familiar que en aquell moment portava el seu germ\u00e0 gran i al qual va acompanyar per tot Catalunya amb una parada de fira que es deia \u201cla Selva\u00bb. Quan en Mario es va casar amb la Maria Teresa Bertran Carol<\/strong> – la iaia – (Igualada 1950), van decidir instal\u00b7lar-se pel seu compte i van comprar una petita pista d\u2019autos de xoc itinerant.<\/p>

In a short space of time, they achieved 5 shock-track tracks that worked simultaneously in various locations. His desire to innovate made them travel to France where the concept of fair was much more advanced. From there, they imported the purses so that the shock cars would work automatically and not with waltzes, as it had been done until then. He also designed clues to be able to connect with each other and got to work with 60 cars at the same time, something unthinkable at that time.<\/p>

Despr\u00e9s de molts d\u2019anys d\u2019anar de fira en fira, la parella va decidir establir-se i comprar uns terrenys, primer a Lloret de Mar i m\u00e9s tard a Platja d\u2019Aro<\/strong>, on van construir dos Magic Park<\/strong> – ja que tenien dos fills, em M\u00e0rius i en Francesc, – i on hi van instal\u00b7lar les pistes d\u2019autos de xoc i, m\u00e9s tard, altres atraccions infantils, videojocs, futbolins, i les m\u00e0quines d\u2019atzar amb premi. Als anys 80, es van consolidar com a espai recreatiu, d\u2019oci i lleure familiar i la seva publicitat era \u201cel primer parc d\u2019atraccions de la Costa Brava\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The M\u00e0gic Park de Platja d\u2019Aro<\/strong>, which was always directed by the eldest son, M\u00e0rius Xufr\u00e9 i Bertran<\/strong>, was for more than 40 years, a meeting point for families, children, youth and adults in the municipality and neighborhoods that met in various Spaces such as: the skating rink, the bowling alley, the M\u00e0rius disco<\/strong>, the football or pinball area, or the games room. The \u201cNoria\u201d was for many years an icon of the amusement park and the village since its bright star was seen from several points in the municipality.<\/p>

With the advent of new technologies, portable consoles and internet, gaming machines were becoming obsolete. Likewise, the increase in the leisure offer in the municipality and the establishment of a children\u2019s playground a few meters outdoors, were presented as a strong competition for the family amusement park.<\/p>

In March 2017, the son Marius transferred and his daughters, Teia<\/strong> and Jenny<\/strong> set themselves up as the family business. Finally, on September 11, 2017<\/strong>, the Magic Park of Platja d\u2019Aro closed the doors of the area dedicated to children\u2019s and family entertainment. He wanted to take a farewell farewell to the place he was closing and had so much represented for so many generations.<\/p>

Se\u2019n van arribar a repartir m\u00e9s de 15.000 i el Magic Park va est\u00e0 absolutament ple de nens i nenes i els seus pares, tiets, avis i amics que es volien acomiadar. Aix\u00ed mateix, es va preparar una exposici\u00f3 titulada \u00abMagic Park<\/strong>. Un petit viatge en el temps\u00bb<\/strong> amb la qual es van recuperar fotografies, pl\u00e0nols, dibuixos i objectes del parc aix\u00ed com exemples de m\u00e0quines com una que \u00abpreveia el futur\u00bb i que funcionava amb 25 pessetes; una altra que inclo\u00efa un sac de boxa i mesurava la for\u00e7a del participant en colpejar-la; un dels primers autos de xoc; billars; un cabasset de la s\u00ednia ja desmuntada, un cartell on es llegeix\u00a0Autochoques Xufr\u00e9… i tamb\u00e9 de la discoteca M\u00e0rius, que s’allotjava en el mateix edifici.
